I went for 3 days recently. I was able to hit most the spots I wanted but I think 4 days would have been perfect

Stay as long as possible! While the valley can be explored in a day or two (minus the larger hikes), Yosemite has so much more to offer. Some of my favorite spots are deep in to Tuolumne, hiking into the backcountry.

I saw just about everything in two days as far as the iconic spots go. Looking forward to spending more time there to actually get some climbing and hiking in. If the weather is nice then I recommend 2 to 3 days will suffice.

Move there and never leave. Live there forever.
If it's your first time, I'd stay at least 2-3 days. With that amount of time, you can see most of the major sights in the valley, and even spend some time in the Tuolumne Meadows area.
But if you can spend more time, there are some multi-day hikes that are killer.

I think you can make Yosemite a one day event or even a week. Yosemite Valley is basically a small town so it's easy to hit some day hikes if you are in the Valley. I encourage everyone to get up to Tuolomne Meadows and check that area out; less crowds and different sites to see. I also recommend looking in to some of the backpacking trails; Tenaya Lake to Clouds Rest, Cathedral Peak to Sunrise Lakes, or Yosemite Valley to Half Dome are great options. Permits fill up quick, so do campsites,

so check out Yosemite's main page for more info
No amount of days are enough! But in 2 days one could see all of the main tourist areas thouroughly.
